At Sydney Physio Group, getting you moving in a safe and effective way is our priority. Regardless of your fitness or experience with exercise, our physios are specifically trained in designing individualised core and whole body programs to help you reach your goals FAST.
Our Clinical Exercise classes across all SPG locations are delivered by our specifically trained Physiotherapists in a Pilates studio environment. This allows us to tailor each class to YOUR individual needs. At SPG, we understand exercise is not a one size fits-all approach. Exercising under the guidance of a physio means whether you are recovering from an injury, trying to prevent one or looking to improve your health and wellbeing, we have you covered.
Clinical exercise classes at SPG are an entire exercise solution in their own right, or are the perfect complement to your current training regime. Whether you are looking for a safe and effective way to move during pregnancy and the postnatal period, are looking to improve your balance and bone density, or build better stability to improve your running, we have the solution for you to help you reach your goals.
We use a combination of Physio rehab and Pilates based exercises and equipment (reformer, trapeze table, etc) combined with the latest knowledge and research on exercise and rehabilitation to manage pain, restore function, prevent injury and improve your performance.
How do I get started? As our classes are designed to specifically meet your needs and goals, an individual consultation with a physio is required prior to attending a class. We will identify any weaknesses, assess any areas for improvement and give you an introduction to the equipment used in a class setting.
What do I need to bring to my sessions? Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Sock are a requirement to entering our studios. Pilates grip socks can be purchased in clinic.
How do I book a class? Bookings can be made through our online booking system. If you’d like to have a recurring booking in the same class, please talk to one of our friendly receptionists.
Do I need to commit to a whole term? At SPG, we don’t believe in putting unnecessary barriers between you and the goals you want to achieve. All our clinical classes can be booked on a week to week basis (subject to availability, of course!). If you often travel for work, leisure or lead a busy lifestyle, we offer you the flexibility to book your classes subject to your schedule.
Can I claim with my private health fund? As our classes are run by a physio, they may be claimable under your private health insurance if you have Physiotherapy cover. To continually access your health fund rebate you will need to attend regular re-assessments to assess your suitability and to make sure your program is up to date and you are progressing towards your goals. Your Physio will advise on what re-assessment period is appropriate for your condition (this will need to happen AT LEAST every 12 months).
